About HistoricalShutters.com

"HistoricalShutters.com" is a trademark of Shutterstile LLC. Shutterstile is a small, family-run business located in Virginia's Northern Neck, about equal distance from Washington D.C., Richmond, and Hampton Roads. Founded in 2007 by John and Elizabeth Donley, we are perhaps best known for our unique shutter designs which feature interchangeable panels of tile and decorative cutouts. Our shutters have been featured in a number of national publications, including Period Homes, Arts & Crafts Homes, Qualified Remodeler, Kitchens, Home & Design, Cottages & Bungalows, and Window & Door magazines. [see Shutterstile.com for more information on our non-traditional offerings.]

Our historical reproduction shutters are less well known nationally, but have a strong local following. Our shop is just down the road from George Washington's birthplace, Stratford Hall (the home of Robert E. Lee), and James Monroe's birthplace. So historical restoration is a part of our heritage.

Whether it's one of our own designs, or a period reproduction, we are committed to producing the highest quality, custom shutters. Please don't hesitate to contact us if you have any questions or would like additional information.
